We need the beast from the east, these kind of setups just tease us in the East

No point wishing for the beast from the east if there is no beast there to start with. No cold air over europe and no real sign of any in the near future.

Get the sun factor out if you are heading in that direction.:P

Basically none, but might be a decent chance of a small amount overnight Saturday/Sunday.

There's a big chunk of precipitation headin sw from the nw at present, it looks like it will hit Dublin, but it looks like rain or sleet except on high ground, I'd say small or no chance for you.

All the showers hitting here now seem to just become active upon hitting land, and intensify as they travel south eastwards.

    West Clare.

Been rather a unexciting cold spell just west of Castlebar so far. There's only been one frost this autumn. Met Eireann were predicting lows of 1 or 0 for us yet it's still 6c at 9pm. Just down the road in Claremorris it's far colder, sickening. Has been a notable lack of fog here this season also.

It's only early in the season, keep faith.

There's a large are of precip heading into north Dublin atm, temps look on the high side though.

-1.3c here in West Clare, making it the coldest temp recorded so far this autumn. Shallow fog forming currently.

There was a 20minute shower of light rain this morning, and due to the calm overcast conditions there was no drying, so many things that were still wet have frozen over and its fairly icy out there.
