Widespread sharp frost apart from the E and SE coasts it would seem due to cloud cover and increasing wind with a chance of precipitation, a lot watching for snow no doubt tonight around Wicklow and the SE ( possibility of freezing rain or rain freezing on impact perhaps a bit inland around Nass, Carlow, Enniscorthy ??? )

Lovely chill today, because the breeze was pretty light.

Beautiful day here in West Clare, temp currently 5.7c.

It's been foggy in Shannon for the last 14 hours and the Aviation forecast (TAF) suggests that this won't dissipate until at least 3am. This must be starting to hit the ground temps, temp hasn't reached 2c yet.

    Hasn't gone above freezing here

temps barely struggled to get to 0C today. Infact, since Wednesday nightI don't think temps here have made it past 4C here making this probably the coldest spell of weather in Autumn since 2010.
