I'm surprised how fast the temp in dropping this evening. Down to 1.6c already. By far the lowest it's been at 6pm this season so far.

-0.2 was the warmest it got today. I don't think I have experienced that since 2010.

same here. This cold spell has turned out much colder than originally expected, certainly the coldest few days I can remember since 2010.

First ice day recorded since December 2010.
March 2013 was also cold but no ice days.

Fog forming here near Tralee, 0.4C and calm. Ice on car. Clear skies overhead.

Have to say this is heaven compared to the barrage of storms and rain we got last year
    Thank you Mother Nature :)

It really has been a great month so far.
It looks like us cold lovers will be getting a few more days of frost.

+0.2C, my coldest temp this autumn. Hoping for first air frost soon.

Down to -2 here in Carlow. Highest temp was -1 at 2pm.

Not long back from Dublin and the fog got worse the further south we drove.

Too late for the fire so i think I'll go to bed.

    -0.1C first air frost :)

Apparently -2.7C here but maybe thermometer is in dodgy spot.

Certainty some indication for a few showers to push onto the eastern coast overnight as winds back east.

That's the funniest bit of rain/snow I've ever seen.
It's coming so far and then it says "nope i'm not going any further i'm dumping it all here". :D
    It's allergic to land.:pac:

Edit: it must be getting caught up in the Wind Turbines.:D:D;)

Is there going to be anything heading for Dublin or will it mainly be confined to Wicklow

I'd be surprised if anything made land at all along the east.

Yeah, they look to be dying as they head toward land.

It's actually just below freezing here and flat calm at the moment, that looks like a heavy train,it should give me graupel or something soon if it stays on that track

Its gone to absolutely nothing, the most you'll get is a few clouds:(

Just as the easterly component starts to kick in the showers start to fade away.
    Ugh

Temp up to 1c in Shannon too, -1.3c here still, hope it doesn't warm up and melt it all :(

Steady climb I'm afraid JCX BXC , 2.4C now :)
Breeze from the NE picking up a bit.

Temperatures on the East coast should start rising in the next couple of hours as the wind freshens.

Why does Mayo And Galway never get cold in comparison to Midlands, onshore breezes aren't a factor today so what's up?

I'd suspect tonight anyway is due to cloud cover and the bit of Northerly wind, last report from Knock at 23.00 was 3C, Mace Hd 4C, Belmullet 3C.
