Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I know this is an old thread, and this is my very first post but I'm really hoping someone can help.
I'm gone f**king crazy ringing different insurance companies and I can't get a straight answer.

I'm after buying a Ford Kuga Utility

The problem I'm having is the insurance companies will only insure it as a private vehicle. The question I can't get answered though is does this mean I have to tax it private as well?
And if so how does that affect me as regards claiming VAT back on the purchase price?

I'm a VAT registered sole trader btw.

Is it not classified as a crewcab? This is the 4 seater one?
Put the reg into motortax.ie and tell us what rate it's taxed at.
There are restrictions on crewcab use. not sure if you're familiar with them.

Are you just getting quotes onlne?
