    I fancied trying some homemade natural dyes for some fabric angels I was going to make. Read I need alum as a mordant, any ideas where to buy alum in Ireland and amount needed/type. Thanks.

    I'm not sure whether it's the same stuff you need for dying but you can buy alum from asian food stores.

    Yes, asian stores. It might be labelled Fatakdi Powder.
