Have you ever watched a 10 month old and 2.5 year old with fevers? They wont be sleeping through the night.

I'm sorry - but they are the priority.

Plus if their fevers get worse, it will be an evening in A&E for all of us.

I think Josh meant that in a light-hearted way, kinda goes without saying that your kids are a priority. Hopefully someone will come along to replace you

A&E for fever? surely a doctor is better idea than the mess of getting involved in A&E.

Anyway hopefully they get better soon.

If its 12pm and their fever goes above 39, you go to A&E. I've had to do it before.....its not pleasant, but the only other option is hope it comes down, which is great if it does, but if it doesnt, you are in big trouble.

Last thing the magic number is 40 (thats doctor time), 38 is when they do have fever, always hard to not be overly worried but don't panic and as you said you their for them and hopefully they don't get worse.

Seems like we have a great pool for the 12 weekly players! Seems like an unfortunate one this week with 3 or 4 regulars out but glad there are those who are infrequently available that can step in, makes the difference.

Glad you found someone or I would have had to consider "stepping out" of dinner for a while, turning up in a suit, full of food and tipsy. Probably would have played better too.

I think when we were getting numbers originally at the start of the thread we had about 18 or so interested in playing before the first game. Only 7 of that 18 are regular now, 8 counting Frank. Sure Karl isn't even on the list and like myself and Josh, he hasn't missed a week yet
