I know it was discussed a few pages back and maybe it deserves it's own thread, but I feel like I want to lend my voice to the argument. Certainly MDMA/Ecstasy does not provoke fights or aggression, quite opposite in fact. A place of dancing where majority are using these substances is a place of joy and happiness.

I actually think if alcohol was invented today it'd be a Class A drug. Addictive, can easily overdose (vomiting etc), causes aggression in many people, you can get dangerously unsteady on it, it's a high killer for alcoholics and related to a lot of suicides which is horrible. The only thing saving alcohol from being banned and Class A is that it's somehow gotten embedded in culture.

I believe 95% of poor behaviour at a festival, gig, pub, nightclub is alcohol related and not MDMA/Ecstasy.

That sort of conversation might be better suited to afterhours tbh.

Of course and I did allude to that in my post but it was discussed here so I replied here!

Why is there a need to explain, just simply waving my hands in the air.

Well I was listening to Syd Barrett since you asked and yes the track Waving my arms in the air, you probably thought I got some undisclosed information about a newly added act, unfortunately that is not the case.

Funny, that was what I did wonder!
    Syd Barrett - there's a name!
Someone tried to spin a yarn on 01.04.17 about a possible Pink Floyd ex to attend EP. Not Syd, of course!

I know one you would like for EP, The Can Project, surviving members of the group Can who are playing Glastonbury I think, wouldn't mind them either.

Anyone know a good website for searching European festivals? E-festivals doesn't seem to be as user friendly as I remember.

I find Music Festival Wizard to be a decent one.

Hey dudes just a heads up, partying over the weekend is gonna get a wee bit harder to do especially if you are a driver or designated driver. A new law came in today for roadside drug testing. http://www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/drivers-can-now-be-tested-for-drugs-at-roadside-checkpoints-1.3046265

I have this friend ;) who wants to know if they can test for Mdma, its not listed in the article.

    From the article ...
Moyadh Murdoch, chief executive of the Road Safety Authority, said studies had shown that a lot of people do not believe smoking a joint impairs their driving. "It absolutely does"

    Yes indeed.
Stoner drivers ask themselves questions like:

"Why am I driving at 8 mph? I should go faster, that looks suspicious"

and the very common "I wonder where am I going".

When I was a younger man, these were questions that I asked myself on more than one occasion. I haven't tried that in many years.

One thing being off your face driving! I'm completely against this, but I can see people with 'drugs in their system', but not under the influence being prosecuted.
