Another potential dude for the Little Big Tent or Body & Soul Village or perhaps Red Bull Stage, Nathan Fake, saw him at Life Festival 2014, brilliant DJ.

    Well if they do...

Gwen Stefani (with or without no doubt) just her on stage for an hour would do.
    Stone Roses
    Pearl Jam
    Benjamin Booker
Curtis Harding (owes us 1 after pulling out last year)
    Leanne le Havas
    The lost brothers
Lemaitre, set of the weekend for me this year
    Iggy pop
    Undertones
    Ash
    The Cure
Led Zep ( they're not done yet)
    Madness
And if they could somehow get the clash back together, that'd be great.
    Paul Weller.

    That'll do me.

Neil Young just going onstage now at Farm Aid

I'd take him next year at the Picnic.

Personally I'd love to see Bjork do a headline slot

Theres not a chance they will bring down the price of drink, its Heineken who are calling the shots, who employ the T in the Park Specialised Security and who partly pay for the festival line up. Thats like walking into the Temple Bar Hotel and saying I'm not paying these prices. If they do check the age profile of arriving festival goers I can imagine people waiting a bloody long time to enter the festival site on first arrival which I don't think is workable either.

I don't mind queueing for longer if it means they're checking ids and refusing entry to 13 - 17 year olds. It seems to be more a problem on the Sunday when all the day ticketers arrive so even if they just got fussy about it then it would make a difference.

It's looking like Glastonbury will be headlined by 3 of Ed Sheeran, Stone Roses, Daft Punk and Radiohead. There are a few other names in the mix too but at the moment they seem the most likely. It was around this time last year that Muse, Adele and Coldplay were suspected headliners so id imagine that's accurate enough but things can change obviously. What do people reckon are the chances of seeing any of them at picnic next year? I think they are all too big and will just do their own shows in the 3 arena or whatever. Id like to think Radiohead could headline but it seems to me they did their festival run this summer and it remains to be seen how extensive the next leg of their tour will be.

The Weeknd has apparently finished the album he's working on and should be touring next year. I like his stuff, apart from Can't Feel My Face because I just heard it too much. If he plays would he headline? I'm not sure.

    Who is The Weeknd?

They do read the threads (we've been contacted in the past) but the bookers know themselves who is in demand, they don't need to read this thread to know ;)

Well not just for music choices but for lots of aspects of the picnic

I think they headlined Lollapalooza Chicago last year. Yeah they did as I remember them in the stream.

yeah, he'd be billed as a headliner i'd say, although probably with someone else on after him (although i thought the same about LDR/New Order this year...)

he's probably more likely to play Longitude though than EP, possibly Forbidden Fruit too.

Jagwar Ma, Nick Cave, A Tribe Called Quest, Gorrilaz & Vampire Weekend would be more than acceptable & suitably eclectic from that list.

Curious who/what your Modest Mouse source is for the new album? It was rumoured to be out this year but so far no release date or much talk of it at all :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,726 ✭✭✭Arne_Saknussem

Don't really have a single source or a date for it, just been hearing for a while from different sources they have an album in the works that was due to be released in 2016 so hopefully they'll have it out within the next year.

Isn't it just beautiful? Caught the movie last week also. I can definitely see him touring next year, but I can also see him playing very little (or none at all) of Skeleton Tree. May just be too painful for him to play that all Summer.
