I'm loving Bicep, their song Just was mixmags number 1 tune of 2015.

Kiasmos are great obviously as well, Burnt and Bent are my personal favourites

Check out hammer. ...he's mates with bicep. ...they are all from Belfast

When will they release the 2017 Map? Will it be very similar to 2016?

Hasn't really changed in a few years; since capacity is the same this year, I wouldn't expect any real differences.

(but it's usually the week before the festival)

Have you ever heard Max Cooper, I think he's from Belfast, it would be a nice surprise if he got added in this last announcement too, a Jon Hopkins/James Holden in the making.

Yes. In the Salty Dog. I've been there once in twelve years to see Redneck Manifesto but I will return for this pair.

It's been two years since I've been to picnic so I can't remember but what time is it that they let you into the arena with drink? Or do the Heineken bars have a license extension?

If I remember correctly the bar closing times last year were Friday 1am, Saturday 2am and Sunday 12pm or 1am. Likely to be the same this year and thus I'd expect people to be allowed to take drinks in shortly after that. Though in my experience security get a lot more lax from around midnight.

The main bars last year were 12am Fri, 1am Sat, 12am Sun but drink couldn't be brought into the main area any night until after 1am

Only Sunday day trippers might get that problem i'd say, with weekend wristband you can come and go as you please.

you'd miss being able to bring in booze after 10pm a few years ago. or better yet, when there was a direct entrance from the campsite into B&S and could bring it in there any time of the day.

Used to take the paintball exit and walk into town that way for breakfast on the Sunday -took about 25/30mins from Warhol campsite to the wee cafe at the start of the town.

Decided a few years ago though it's not worth it at all :pac:

You know something I can't actually remember now, its been that long since I was an EP punter, I think its a bit above the production entrance which I think is Gate C, well it used to be anyway. I tend to just stay in the crew camp and use the hole in the wall staff entrance to the festival these days, crew camp has a back road leading straight into the town. The best and cheapest breakfast roll is the small green shop above production entrance. If yer wondering where production entrance is, its the one where the heavy vehicles, vans and cop cars go in, security tend to be in bright red hi vis there.

I know someone who's gonna be working at the Heineken bar and they're expected to work til 1am every night so I'm assuming it will be bar closes at 1 and you're allowed drink in from then..

Roadhouse Doors are in the local this weekend. Check out Wolff as well. I think it'll be up your street.

Listened to a bit of Wolff, not really impressed, but will give them another listen.
Galway city club played in my local last weekend, bloody great craic, even if they did take up half the pub.

Where's my best bet for picking up a relatively cheap sleeping bag? Under €20 and compact are main concerns (other than the obvious)

Someone mentioned a good food place in one of the campsites a few weeks ago. Can't for the life of me find it. Anyone remember what it was

Interskalactic! Stumbled into a random tent in longitude two years ago and these guys were playing. Was such a fun show. Orchestra/band walked around the crowds in circles playing their instruments. Great crowd engagement. Will gladly go again
