Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yaris 2000 - front turning indicator replacement

I'm trying to replace a front turning indicator bulb and for the life of me I can't do it. From web I gathered that I need to remove the bumper to remove the whole lightning unit, but I don't see any screws or clips to losen up the bumper.

Can somebody please shed any light into this for me as I start to get annoyed by how fast the indicator clicks inside the car when I indicate?

According to Haynes manual you access the bulb under the wheel Arch.Remove the screws and push in clips retaining the liner add pull back liner.Disconnect the bulb wiring and remove holder by turning anti clockwise.Remove bulb by depressing and twisting anti clockwise

Thanks for that, I'll have a closer look tomorrow when there's more light, hope I can do it by myself not take the car to a mechanic just to change a bulb!

    Aah, the Web.
What year is it? Mk1 can be got from the engine bay, mk2 can be accessed from the wheel arch. Only car I ever saw that required a bumper removal for a bulb is a Renault Modus, but that's Renault for you.

You could probably unplug the connector with a pliers. It's very tight to get at, you'd need tiny hands.
What I do it horse the bumper off the front panel, just pull it off the clip, then pull the top edge of the bumper out where it sits in the recess in the headlight. Then just unbolt the whole unit and off you go.

Thanks for the pic, I tried to remove the bumber but the screws from under the wheel arch are busted. Seeing your pic gives me confidence of pulling a bit harder than I was before because I was afraid I'd rip something there.
