Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I can't decide whether Coleman was brain dead there or has a crystal ball

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,722 ✭✭✭nice_guy80

He couldn't roll it past Randolph cause Seamus was on the line!

He realised he wouldnt get out on time so he decided to cover the line.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

Right. We can't defend. We look at least competent when we try and pass the ball and do a goal. MoN, tell them to do that please.

Randolph given the MOTM award. What a joke. He's almost cost us at times.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

Coleman was poor in not coming out with everyone else.....but then he had the presence of mind to stop running out because he knew he wouldn't get there in time.

Good enough for what though? They aren't amateurs. They aren't world beaters but either are Serbia. O Neills total lack of belief in his players is on a par with Trap. It's shameful and cowardly.

I'd hope they would have the balls to hire a decent young coach. Don't have any names, but not someone like Keane taking over!

Murphy looks to have papered over the cracks tonight but I hope people don't forget how we played from the 5th minute to the 75th.
O'Neill is great at getting a reaction when we go behind and only then he seems to let them play. If we are ahead he switches to hoof ball. I don't get it..

Players always get off scot free.

Nothing to do with the manager. The players always fall back when they get in front away from home. Have done under every manager the past 15 years.

I think it's fair to say that we're not watching the 2018 World Cup winners here.

There is a difference between courage in a calm, collected manner. And a nervous frenzy or panicked energy and attack in the face of imminent failure. The Irish team is very poor at the former. As soon as a positive result threatens, the Irish team retreat, retreat, retreat, retreat. Its a consistent pattern over more than a decade.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Long makes a great tackle and is then too slow on the attack. That's why he won't reach higher levels.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,561 ✭✭✭Umaro

That was utterly ridiculous for Long, strolling on with the ball.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,388 ✭✭✭✭Jayop

Not a single person offered themselves to McClean there for the pass.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,050 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

We play the same football the Trap played, but for some reason MON escapes criticism

Ireland's best player has been the Serbian goalkeeper.
