Horizontal Cedar or Larch fence help

Hi, I'm looking to build a fence in my back garden and like the look of horizontal cedar fencing.
Has anyone built or bought material/panels for something similar.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Some of the quotations I've received for material has been crazy so if you know of any place to get a good deal or if you have a more cost effective alternative, please let me know.

How much were you quoted?
I got a quote for a 30m long, 2m high larch fence, fixed horizontally with around 1 cm gaps. It was around €1500-1750 to supply and fit.
