Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ACCA, training in the industry - good idea?

    Hi

while browsing for the new job I noticed that all large multinationals always prefer big 4 "graduates" when looking for qualified accountants

so the question below is for those who went industry road:

do you think ACCA should do more to raise the profile of ACCA students who trained in industry?

it bugs me that I have gone through all the effort of passing ACCA exams, had my PERs signed off only to feel as a second class citizen in the accounting world

if it is known that industry route misses something, should ACCA provide some additional support to its students?

it seems multinationals believe industry trained ACCAs are somehow less capable

    thanks for your opinion

    its just standard HR dribble.

Ignore it. If interested in the role then apply.

Industry training is dependent on the employer some good some bad.

Some place might be hesitant to hire a industry trained Accountant if they have no experience in that industry
