My lady friend gave me her old iPhone 4 to keep as she got a iPhone 6. Before she gave it to me she restored it to factory mode and deleted all her data. when I got the phone I set it up for myself.

However I was wondering can I recovery her data messages, pictures

Can I recovery old data from the phones hardware or is it gone forever?

I tried use Drfone recovery but have got no where, Or is it still on hard ware hidden

Getting stuff back from the phone itself is going to be harder than getting it back via a backup or iCloud sync, so if she's concerned about having lost data those are the avenues she'd be best off pursuing, tbh.

Theoretically the information might still be present, but you'd need more access to the underlying filesystem than you'll be able to get with the phone hooked up to a computer.

Thanks ....what way would the police get it back, theoretically?

If it was of enough interest to them, forensic specialists with sufficiently sophisticated tools. These might well be contractors, though, rather than in-house staff.

The general principle of this sort of recovery comes from the way in which file deletions in filesystems are managed. When a file is deleted in most filesystems, the OS involved does not in fact erase the file but simply overwrites the file header so that the space is marked as available in the filesystem. If the space occupied by the file is not subsequently over-written, it is possible to identify and recover the file using the right tools.

The specifics of how to do this depend on the systems involved - it's much easier on a computer than on a phone, partly because you have access to many more tools on a PC than a phone and partly because a lot of phones are built with the explicit premise that the end-user does not have (or need) full administrator access to the system (which prevents you from performing certain types of tasks).

    Thats what I was wondering.

A restore IIRC is a bit for bit copy so you'll have most/all of the NAND overwritten. The chances of reviving more than tiny fragments is pretty low.

    She got a new phone,
she has acess to her data on icloud,
she reset the phone and deleted all the data ,
So i ,m not sure why are you trying to restore the data .
