Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi i have a mini yorkie. Male 2 years old. For the past week ive noticed he has being licking one of his paws more then usual.

Today i washed it out with a very miniscule amount of diluted detol and bandaged it. Im not surr if his constant licking had irritated it more.

I'll take him to the vets if i hasnt cleared up soon. Anyone got any more advice?

I will attach some pictures of it in a little bit.

Images attached, the dog isnt in pain, or limping, and isnt sensitive to touch. he has always grommed himself quiet often, so licking his paws isnt a new thing for him.

I'd be worried about foxtail/grass seed this time of year so would go to the vets to be safe. It's already been a week..

    always the safest option OP
Grass seeds embedded in a paw can become infected/an abscess, a real nightmare to remove if its embedded deeply

see below for information, including pics of foxtail grass seed, which will tell you why its important not to delay getting these buggers removed

More likely to be harvest mites this time of year - they cause the itching and the dog breaks down the skin with the licking/biting and causes the sore. Your vet should be able to help treat it

Either mites or a lick granuloma I'd say !
