Maybe 10 years at the height of American Idiot (Shudder) but I'd imagine they would struggle to sell out the 3Arena these days lets alone Slane.

I'd love to see them play here provided they played nothing post 2004 except the stuff from their new album

Slane?? Are you having a laugh? These lads are well past it at this stage and they were never very interesting to begin with. Maybe the Olympia?

I thing I will go to Manchester. Ryanair tickets 20€ return. Cheap hostel/hotel. Few beers. Sounds like a good night out.

Why would you go to Manchester then? On a Monday? Expensive city for beers. And hostels.

Could easily go to Berlin for an extra 30 quid and you'll save that after two rounds of booze.

And also, you're not in Manchester.

The venues they are playing in Europe are much larger than on the US leg

They aren't doing themselves any favour with the shotgun ticket announcement.
Presales started this morning and the gigs were only announced yesterday with general sale Friday.
    Very irritating that.

Is it likely they'll announce any Irish dates?

UK tour :D...band plays England and particularly no midlands date there suggests they are nailed on for Download, will prob drop over to Ireland then...not a hope they play Slane their biggest gig here was Marlay Park with Paramore and Joan Jett wasn't at it but I'm pretty sure tickets a plenty on the day.

Flights and hotel booked for Amsterdam for myself and the wife,ah sure why not!! Was a huge fan back in the Dookie to American Idiot era and have seen them once at Oxegen years back, looking forward to this!! Getting tickets on Friday shouldn't be too much hassle hopefully.

FYI return flights for 2 to the Dam were only €120 in total!'

    Good deal !

Ticket prices in Amsterdam are always very reasonable too,42-54 euro inc fees.
Compare that to £43 - £73 in the UK .

Thats 54 euro vs 87 euro for a standing ticket ,ridiculous

I think you all are underestimating how big Green Day actually are. I completely get that they're not as big as they used to be, but I was saying to my mates that they were touring and my mates wouldn't even be fans and at least 5 of them were saying they were gonna get tickets if they announce a gig, but I know Marlay Park didn't sell too great think it sold 22k which isn't bad but they had just played the o2 the previous October where as they haven't played in here in what 6 years, 7 next, so maybe interest has went up, can see them playing an outdoor gig next year because I'd say they're pretty set for T in the Park so maybe another Marley Park gig or maybe smaller.

Had a look on the ticketb@stard.nl site and looks they will be priced in around 55-60 which is reasonable enough imo. Seen Pearl Jam in the Ziggo Dome a few years ago and it's a pretty decent venue. Hotel is also booked so all that remains is to get tix on Friday morning

the olympia?? Green Day would sell the olympia 7/8 times over without any bother at all!

Christ fall out boy and all time low are too big for the olympia..

with summer shows on this tour I'd say nailed on for a marlay park show again

Holy moly, that line up is unreal. So depressing that there's nothing that can hold a candle to that anymore in Ireland :(

For all the bashing that Oxegen gets it had some superb line ups over the years. 2005 was outstanding,Green Day helped make it that....super set that year. Roll on Amsterdam!!

Just bizarre! I thought their hype had died down.

Was on Twitter, just to see and most people are confused as to how a tour sold out in seconds.

Some guy got both Leeds and Manchester - not even sure how one could do that :confused:

Hopefully they do an Irish show now.
