My guess is they'll play Electric Picnic or maybe Longitude. They were announced to be playing a festival in Madrid during the summer and it would make sense why we've heard nothing about an Irish date as EP or Longitude don't announce their lineups till early 2017.

Not a chance in hell they'll do EP, the idea of it is hilarious :pac: Would be doubtful about longitude too tbh.

RHK - 29th June next year with Rancid as support

Chances of selling out? Never been to RHK so not sure on the size of the venue.

    Over 18s in RHK..
If they're actually strict on the 18s it has potential to be amazing!

Also playing Belfast two days beforehand on the Wednesday.

RHK certainly isn't huge, I reckon it will sell out.

I cant imagine that they will attract that many younger fans anymore

I would say they will have lost a lot of their older fan base (ie the likes of those that were in their late teens/early 20s in and around the turn of the millenium) also. A lot grew out of that music and weren't exposed to it much over the last 12/13 years.

Hard to know what their core demographic fan base is now.

That isn't demeaning them in anyway, merely saying taste moves on but nostalgia will boost sales also.

Saying that, they will sell out the RHK.

Didnt Blur play there a few years ago , think the capacity was about 25000 when they played

I seen Biffy there a few years ago and the capacity was 12k. Great location on a nice day for a gig.

    12K?

Imagine could sell quick enough on Friday so!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,785 ✭✭✭Zardoz

Well if its only 12k why dont they just play the 3arena ? Rental cost ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 220 ✭✭eldest200

Will the Belfast gig sell out on Friday? I don't think I'll get time to get tickets.

I was at that Blur gig, didnt feel like 25000, more 12-15000 at the most I'd say

Stage set up more so I'd say..

Will have their outdoor rig from Europe..

Prob easier to just transport that straight rather than try make it indoors..

****ing can't believe it. I know I said that I didn't want to see them at a big outdoor event, but ****ing Rancid are supporting, and they're doing a Belfast date as well. That's 3 times in 4 days that I'll get to see them. It's been too long. I am so excited!!! Now just to make sure I can get tickets! There are a few UK peeps I know who will be heading over, so I'm sure it will sell out quick enough.

Anyone know if there's pre-sale tickets available for the RHK gig?

I thing I will go to Manchester. Ryanair tickets 20€ return. Cheap hostel/hotel. Few beers. Sounds like a good night out.

Have 2 tickets for Manchester if your interested ??

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,785 ✭✭✭Zardoz

Small enough capacity so they might sell it out I suppose.
Should be easy enough to pick up a ticket for it next summer anyway .

THX mate. Got tickets already. Got another 6 minutes to think if I should buy ticket for Irish gig as well.

    Is it all standing?
I got tickets for section GA1. No idea whether that's good or not

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,425 ✭✭✭AlanG

Seems to be all standing - only GA1 on sale from what I can see.

GA is for "general admission", sometimes when you get the ticket it will say GA STAND, ticketmaster saving ink not bothering to print out STANDING, (sure you only paid them €6.85 for service so what can you expect!)

This has caused confusion in other gigs, esp. in stadiums where people think they are in "the stand". Also in the olympia and probably other venues the ticket can have a number on it, which people think is a seat number.

Anyways, all standing at this gig as said.

Think it's now sold out on Ticketmaster, surprised it sold out this quickly tbh. Tickets available on seatwave selling in twos for 60 each and in and around 100 for a ticket by itself
