Don't understand why Carol did so badly. Thought she would have a big following in the UK?

I think with the app vote any younger reality show contestant will do the best and win

Location as well, northerners seem to gather a bigger vote.

Is Carol that likeable? Bit of a try hard maneater no?

The biggest disappointment for me this year was no yanks in the show, why?? it's the yanks that made this show great over the last 4/5 years.
I think not having them in this year really damaged the show, well imo at least

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,495 ✭✭✭tinpib

Almost couldn't be bothered catching up on Saturday's and Sunday's show but finished them off. Sadly a boring series overall and no doubt he producers will try and rectify it next year. Hopefully they don't go too far the other side likeBig Brother and that people are fake on it.

It's not dead yet and I hope next year is better.

Ya I'd agree with that always lended something to the show, for me the lack of a real star that I wanted to see meant not much aticipation for the show. Like a Eubank, Alfonso(fresh Prince) type. Maybe it was just a bad year for me knowing the celebs mind.

The following Carol would have, mainly wouldnt watch a show like this. And she wouldnt really appeal to any voting demographs in particular. Being seen as upper class and dropping in a few tid bits about her private life didnt help either

Looking over those figures, they were fairly consistent throughout the series.
If I had lots of spare time it be interesting to go back to see how any fluctuations corresponded to what was happening on the show.
But I'm not that arsed or bored now.

It's seems Scarlett's fear of lifts and enclosed spaces was all her lie. Her Instagram is full of her taking selfies in lifts. If she was going to make up a story she should have cleaned up her social media before she went into the jungle.

I enjoyed this year's show, from the episodes that I caught, for the sheer fact it was a bit more genuine that other shows.
I think their mistake was not putting Danny and Martin in from the start, out of all the celebs they were all on their best behaviour as they all had something to gain from being perceived as "nice".

The previous years had people that really didn't care about building their profile so could act like they really wanted.
For me, that would have been Martin, Danny and Larry of this year's lot.

ITV said this year's final was the most-watched since 2013, when an average of 10.9 million and a peak of almost 12 million tuned in to see former Westlife star Kian Egan win.

Can't believe a Gogglebox star got the same as a top model and more than an olympian!

‘I haven’t got a fear of lifts, I’ve got a fear of not being able to see an escape,’ she admitted.
‘It’s not just lifts, it’s the same if there’s too many bubbles in the bath. I can’t put my head under the water as if I opened my eyes I couldn’t see a way out. Or I can’t go in a small room without a window, or even a big one,’ she continued.
Speaking to The Sun she added: ‘It’s more I like to be able to see how I can escape. I don’t know why my brain works like that.’

I think Jordan and Joel need better agents or managers.

In fairness to Scarlett, she has a better "reality tv CV" than both Joel and Jordan. And yes, clearly a better agent :D

Joel wasn't really famous at all, and Jordan was a small part of a dance act. Even one of the dogs on Gogglebox deserved more than those 2.

I can actually understand this, I wouldn't go into a room with no window and close the door, it would freak me out. Like a cupboard for example. Even a small en-suite I leave the door open. And yet a lift doesn't bother me. I suppose maybe it's because there's no choice but to get in a lift. Now if a lift broke down it would be a different story, I'd lose all reason. :D:D:D:D
