Junior cert home ec childcare project???

We have started our child care projects for the junior cert and I've decided to do mine on the development of child between birth and nine months but I have no idea what aims to use ?? I'm very confused and my teacher isn't much help either since she refuses to help us and vaguely explained what we are supposed to do :/…
