Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just go into HT at 2-1 and I'll be happy now.

    Get in, classic Liverpool defence

Quite reminiscent of Vardy's Community Shield goal against United's classic defence don't you think?

You'd need more than that after a derby defeat, trust me I've been there. :pac:

The big one isn't far away at least. One more month. :)

Those thousands of fans calling for handball there should be shot. I think the Manchester derby frivolous appeals have radicalised me.

    Yea
    Exactly.
    Poor decision making

Mig's poor decision making was 10/20% of the problem. Lucas's pass back to him was absolutely woeful.

Leicester are pretty rubbish to be fair.

Liverpool need to push on and should win.

Or else we will do what we always do and concede from a jammy set-piece, have a goal narrowly ruled offside, hit the woodwork a couple of times, have Coutinho come on and hit 4 shots in a row over the bar and draw 2-2.

Is there anything more predictable than a Liverpool defensive mistake?

I wonder if it is possible to get odds on which team will make most blatant defensive mistakes leading to a goal this season. I'd imagine we would be odds on, but it would be free money.

Liverpool can play like world beaters but they always seem have one or two guys in the team that are guaranteed to make life difficult for everyone else.

I dunno where a players brain is in those moments.
Lucas only had to turn on it and play a ball out if in real trouble, or up field if he had that option.
To do what he did needs studying, I would love to see what was going in in his brain at that moment.

Liverpool (or Mig specifically) has conceded more goals through direct errors than any other side in the last year I think.

That's a monumental mistake from Lucas, I don't car if it's not his natural position no one can be that stupid.

He was trying to drag the ball back to go wide, he didn't mean to miscontrol it. It was a horrendous mistake, but it isn't like he deliberately did it.

Why did Mig pass to Lucas there? Still, cant even understand what happened, Lucas lost his mind.....

As an outlet for a goal kick, the two CB's split to either side of the box. Vardy was closer to Matip than Okazaki (?) was to Lucas. Therefore, Lucas was best placed to receive ball. He was closed down very quickly it must be said, so he should have hoofed it in hindsight.

The equaliser will either be deflected or else from a corner.

Mig should probably have anticipated this and went longer anyway, especially seeing how high Leicester were at that point but yea, just one of those things....

Shouldn't have been a goal apparently

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

Lol Leicester's goal shouldn't have stood according to Howard Webb.

Okazaki was in the box before the ball left the box.

Never knew that rule existed to be fair.

Makes no difference now, we need to score 4 to be sure of the win here. Can't get into it so far this half yet.

Okazaki was in the penalty area before the goal kick had left the area, so should have been retaken.

    Obviously.

Defender ran into box before Mig kicked ball (goal kick)

Okazaki was in the box before Mignolet took the goal kick or the ball left the area or something like that........

I thought Gigi took the wrong option there and should have went outside to Firmino. Thanks for proving me wrong Adam Llama :D

He was playing so poorly as well, just the way Coutinho does it. :)

Lalanna?? I think he's been great, usual workrate and created some good chances. He's been great this season.
