    THE ELEVENTH HOUSE RE-VISITED

Guitar genius Larry Coryell formed, along with Alphonse Mouzon, the famous fusion band The Eleventh House, which left its very significant mark in jazz music history. Their debut album “Introducing The Eleventh House with Larry Coryell” is a classic on its own and one of the reasons the band has been ranked as one of the most important ones in the genre. The current all-star band now revisits its classic repertoire with a very contemporary twist.

We will also be doing a Dublin concert on the 3rd or 4th November 2016

THE EVERYMAN SUN OCT 30th at 8pm

    THE ELEVENTH HOUSE RE-VISITED

Guitar genius Larry Coryell formed, along with Alphonse Mouzon, the famous fusion band The Eleventh House, which left its very significant mark in jazz music history. Their debut album “Introducing The Eleventh House with Larry Coryell” is a classic on its own and one of the reasons the band has been ranked as one of the most important ones in the genre. The current all-star band now revisits its classic repertoire with a very contemporary twist.
    LARRY CORYELL

Larry Coryell is undoubtedly one of the best jazz guitarists of all times. Back in the 70’s Larry’s music combined the influences of rock, jazz and eastern music, and his tremendous versatility allowed him to cooperate with musicians like Chico Hamilton, Gary Burton, Jack Bruce, Jimmy Webb, The 5th Dimension, Charles Mingus, Billy Cobham, John McLaughlin, Paco de Lucia and Chick Corea. Coryell deserves his special place in the history books. Armed with a brilliant technique, he is comfortable in almost every style, covering almost every base from the most decibel-heavy, distortion-laden electric work to the most delicate, intricate lines on acoustic guitar.
    ALPHONSE MOUZON

Drummer ALPHONSE MOUZON has a CV that reads like a Who's Who of modern jazz and pop music. He was the rhythmic foundation behind pianist McCoy Tyner and a charter member of the mega-group Weather Report.Mouzon has also played and/or recorded with stars including Miles Davis, Gil Evans, George Benson, Herbie Hancock, Dizzy Gillespie, Ron Carter, Freddie Hubbard, Chet Baker, Sonny Rollins, and Roberta Flack. His rock/pop credentials include performances with Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Carlos Santana, and Robert Plant.
    JOEY DEFRANCESCO

Joey DeFrancesco has rocked the jazz world with his astonishing Ham-mond organ performances, commencing in the 80s. He also began play-ing the trumpet after touring in the great Miles Davis’s band. Since then he has toured and recorded with many stars including Ray Charles, Bette Midler, David Sanborn, Steve Gadd, George Benson, John Scofield, Larry Coryell and Bobby Hutcherson, not to mention the myriad of foreign jazz artists that he’s collaborated with. An amazing musician!
    JULIAN CORYELL

Julian grew up in a musical home (his father is guitar legend Larry Coryell), and quickly developed his own style, adeptly fusing rock, pop, jazz, blues, R&B, classical, and more. Julian has toured with Alanis Morissette, Aimee Mann, Leonard Cohen, Dave Brubeck, and Billy Cobham, and regularly with The Eleventh House. A guitarist's guitarist who performs expertly with grace and aplomb in any situation, Julian has played guitar on TV shows such as The X Factor and American Idol, as well as The Tonight Show and David Letterman.
    DANNY TRIFAN

Bassist Danny Trifan has featured on all six of The Eleventh House albums. He joined Blood, Sweat and Tears in 1976, touring extensively and playing on two hit albums. More recently, he has played with David Sanborn and Tom Waits. He is one of the busiest and most in-demand bassists in the USA.

Would The Eleventh House play a longer show in Dublin, if it isn't a double bill?

How long each group is playing in Cork, considering it is a double bill?

Is it known yet, what venue they will play in Dublin?

The Cork gig is the same night as Killing Joke in Dublin!:)

    HIYA

It is Larry with his Eleventh house band playing Cork Jazz festival.

The Dublin gig will be Larry Coryell with the fab Dave Redmond on Bass and metronomic Kevin Brady on Drums. I do not have the event location yet or date.

Has anyone here been at my Larry gigs in Sugar Club or our secret special gig in JJ's.
