Wouldn't it be amazing to have the orchestra involved every week - that would really bring the show to another level, instead of feeling like the poor relation to Strictly.
And anyway, we're paying for them through our tv licences so we deserve to enjoy what they do more often!

Dancing with the stats rally have a live band. So, I wouldn't be to hopeful.

Was it the same costume she had on a couple of weeks ago or am I imagaining it ?

She did have another unflattering costume a few weeks ago, but I doubt it was this one.

I really don't see the show as a poor relation. It is its own animal. It's less silly than Strictly and the time investment isn't as massive. I know about as many of the Irish celebs as I do the UK ones.

The orchestra did up the ante but given their full schedule of performances (must be every week at the concert hall), they'd have to recruit a new band.

I loved that a couple of the pieces were solely instrumental - good choice not to have some try to copy Adele's voice.

I saw that show tonight that Bláthnaid Treacy presents.
Brian said he would have expected Mairéad in the dance off last week.
I really thought Mairéad was scored very low last week with 3 x 7. I always thought she was one of the favourites.

The problem with Mairéad is that she has been given very little Latin dances, only 2, Samba and Salsa, by Week 9 (!). She’s clearly more comfortable with ballroom and she has had most of the ballroom dances, keeping her in her safe easy comfort zone. Now that we should start to see at least some Latin from her, she’s going to look much weaker in comparison to the others. I thought any higher than 3x7 would’ve been too much; she seemed very unsure and giggly during her Samba, even though the technique was good.

Mairead fully deserved to get through last week for her beautifully toned legs alone. She should be in final 3. Lovely lady too unlike certain others!!

What do her “beautifully toned” legs have to do with her dancing?

Johnny Ward's father has died, it is unknown if he'll perform on tonight's show

That’s very sad....I’ll have to fast forward him tonight though, don’t think I’d be able for him!

So, end of the road for Fred tonight? Hopefully not!

    Dennis surely

That was not a good salsa. All over the place and some awful lifts.
Typical Robert, abandoning his partner so he could show off.

She was not in time with him at the start at all.

He'd do anything to get on the tele, absolutely pointless little visit there

Definitely looking for an invite on to next year's series.

Julian, I don't know if he plays piano, but he's the Irish Liberace. In terms of colour and flamboyance. I'm not suggesting anything about sexuality etc.

Why is karen byrne back on the show?

I thought she got eliminated a while back

Did not like that.....or her costume! :(

I agree with you about Robert.......have not reallly taken to him since he left Maia Dunphy to open a dance on her own when she clearly did not have the confidence to do so.....all in order to be able to show off his own dancing, it seemed to me at the time.

The pro dancers stick around after their celebrity gets booted off. Ksenia and Kai, for example, are still around.
