    What's the point in having the judges vote? Surely the bottom 3 should be up for eviction and the public vote for their favourite. That would probably mean less money for RTE though.

    the dance off would avoid that situation. THis could end up embarrassing with a Des C, Doctor E and Theresa Final:eek:

    it's not as if the show isn't long enough to have time for a dance off

    Considering most of the contestants have never danced before, their level of improvement and dedication is taken into account. Des' performance was not only entertainiing, but, according to the judges, he had actually learned some new steps. As for Thalia, during the rehearsals she herself stated that the steps had to be sharp (words to that effect), but that is not what she gave us - noticeably so. I'm no expert, but it was plain to be seen.
