He looks like he would rather let the ground eat him up than go through to the final

He had a big change of mind since last week then when he said he wanted the Glitter ball for the baby!
    Just an edit!
Aidan is a GAA player often over the years the Kerry team played rough and poor and mightn't have dissevered to win but you never saw them handing backing their All Ireland medals and the Sam Maguire!

By the way next week show consists of two dances. The judges choice followed by the the couples favorite dance. Then I think theirs a routine of everybody together! If it hasn't being mentioned in all the bickering.

I'm just amazed anyone would spend €2 on a vote, nevermind who they voted for!

Eh Twitter says otherwise about Denise so I dont know where you got that from maybe its your own opinion but its hardly the truth.
Aidan just has the block vote of people who vote for ridiculous reasons

Read the comments on here she'd the most disliked person person here. Their's only about three people who sticks up for her. She a good dancer but she isn't overly liked as a person.
This is a reality show and aspects of the person is taken into account. I'm not surprised Denise has being in the bottom twice,

I'm sorry but your obsession with Denise and not liking her based on f all is getting silly. We get it.

Have you ever disliked a celebrity by the way they come across on TV?(I'm not referring to her acting acting roles)

I think other peoples obsession with trying to convince everyone that Denise is a lovely person is getting silly to be honest.

Actually I find the whole bitching about it thing silly.

People like who they like as I've already said before in this thread. Posters trying to convince them otherwise are wasting their time.

I personally think Denise has an attitude, I don't try to convince others of this though.

I'd admit Denise might be nicest woman on Earth but I don't get that vibe off her on TV. I can't help how I feel. Ryan gets a slamming here as well and people don't come on here defending him.

I get the feeling certain posters know Denise and if they do then that's fine. I'm sorry if you don't like your friend being judged based on a few minutes a week. But it's a reality show and that's what they open themselves up to when they go on there.

I wonder how many posters here who haven't taken to Aoibhinn are women? I just thought Id come out and say it.

Ok going to join in at the risk of being sent packing !!

I actually liked Denise from day 1. I thought her 1st dance was amazing and by and large she has performed the same since.

Look, she mightnt have the likeability factor but then again neither does Aoibhinn in my opinion, but in terms of dancing I think she's great.
I think Des Cahill and Aidan O'mahoney got so far because they came across as 2 awful dances who entered with great spirit and put everything into the show and actually improved as the weeks went on

  • Registered Users Posts: 30,596 ✭✭✭✭freshpopcorn

People do relies I've never questioned Denise's dancing ability it's just her her personality I'm not gone on.
Same with Aidan I never said he was a good dancer but I prefer him as a person.

I also quite like Denise. I've voted for her a couple of times, along with Aoibhin and Katherine. Didn't vote every week. I am interested in the best dancer, not how popular people are. Personality does of course come into it, but I haven't seen much of one from Aidan. The 3 best dancers should be in the final, but only 2 of them are.

Ultimately, this comes down to a popularity contest. I don't know if DWTS lets the public decide on its own the winner, but Strictly does. The judges still score but it's only for guidance. If that's the route they go down next week, Aidan will probably win.

I think you're probably right which is a shame imo not because he's not the best dancer but because he doesn't even seem that interested.

The throwing up the eyes to heaven last night because he was kept in pissed me off.

Was it not a bit of disbelief with him as opposed to "of god another week".?
I actually thought it was a bit of disbelief that he had made it when he knew he was the worst of the 4 left.

That's one thing tough if it was based sorely on the dancing and nothing else and that's all people voted on.Would it attract many views?Especially for the results show.
It's all part of reality TV in my opinion. I wanted Dayl to win and now he's gone. So, I'd like Aoibhn.

No, to me it definitely looked like a FFS roll of the eyes. He didn't even hug his partner.

I was up for Aoibhinn until I saw she was in Life magazine yesterday commenting on celebrity culture in Ireland !

She's on the front of Irish Country magasine too. I guess that's why you do a show like this - to raise your profile.

But this doesnt make sense because he put such work into the dance and had actually improved a lot, and said he really enjoyed it.
Surely if he wanted to go that badly he wouldnt have put in such an effort.?
I think his personality improved as the show went on and he got more comfortable with the dancing.
Surely he wouldnt have a problem with staying at this late stage since he knew it would clash with babys birth.

Of course I have. We all have.

But I don't see any evidence of how she comes across on TV or in interviews to suggest she comes across to the extent you seem to consider her! In fact neither have you from what I see if your reason is merely you think she was "fake"! Fake from what?! She seems to be a normal family woman with young kids...maybe that prevents her socialising with the younger cast outside the show!

I don't want to harp on again about it, I apologise if I am, and I know I am, sounding a bit condescending but I just don't like the subtle and non subtle digs you are throwing at her are getting tired!

Ha, and I've no connection such with her!

    Sorry again!

The previous week he said he wanted to bring the glitter ball home to Lucia.
So, I do think he wants to win but he know's he mightn't be a with her winner that never stopped him with Kerry tough.
Last week He rolled his eyes as well and She opened her mouth wide when they went through!

I think its just that he's amazed that he has got this far and better dancers have gone by now.

We'll agree to disagree about her.
And we'll agree never to comment about her to each other again.
She a good dancer and I never questioned that.

Ah in theory he was aware of his wife's due date but the reality is probably totally different.

Anyway, look it can be interpreted either way really.

Although thinking about it, I've never seen someone roll their eyes in amazement. :)

I haven't voted at all for this show, but if I was voting, it would be purely on dancing. I simply don't see why personality likes & dislikes has such an influence. I've really enjoyed this series, but the viewer voting has been the major negative point for me. For instance, Des Bishop didn't deserve to go when he did.

Dayl was a great dancer from Day 1, but I don't think he has improved to the same degree that Aidan has. So while Aidan may still be technically the weakest dancer, he has worked hard and shown huge improvement.

Aoibhinn has always been graceful and elegant and has gotten better. Denise IMO has shown some real improvement and her acting experience allows her to really inject some showbiz into her dancing.

Last night, I felt that Aidan should have gone home, based purely on dancing ability.

As to who will win, it really should be Aoibhinn or Denise. But who knows?

Fake Roll of the Eyes! Delighted he was off nappy duties for another few days!!

I actually didn't see it but by the description may it not be that he was shocked as he probably (and the majority of people probably ) thought he wouldn't get through. He may have also felt "guilty", maybe more so "sympathetic " that one of the better dancers was being omitted in his stead. Natural human reaction! May be relief also or maybe just pure silent estaticism due to getting through!!

He knew for a while his baby would clash with the show probably as he knew he would have a big public backing. It wasn't an immaculate conception! !

So to enter the show when he would come across as 1 of the least likeliest individuals out of them all to do so means he really wanted to take part as opposed to some of the others in thst line of career who may know it is a pay day or a means to build their "brand".

But there may also be the pressure of it and wanting to spend time with the kid, and give his wife a break of course, that is a logical thought.

I think we've done enough bickering. The final now is

    Aoibhin
    Aiden
    Denise

I think we all know who each other likes and dislikes at this stage. May the best person win.

Does anybody want give a guess at the dances the celebrities will pick next week
    or the judges will pick?
The couples all did a good Charleston.(Charleston is my least favorite dance) So one will probably pick that.
Denise or Aoibhin might choose contemporary ball room.
Don't know how the judges will pick.
Wil they pick the dance they think that their most suited to or the dance they did the worst in to see an improvement or maybe even their first dance!

Jesus some of you love to make up conspiracy theories or that friends of people are posting in here to make it seem like your right. How sad although not as sad as trying to guess someones personality based on a TV show

Plus they have 3 dances next week but is there really any point? we all know Aidan will win
