Heading over for a long weekend (5 of us). Found a few apartments on booking.com etc but any one got any recommendations? Want to stay fairly central.

Look around Grassmarket, you should be able to find something and it puts you in a good spot - there are a load of restaurants and pubs around there and you'll be well placed for public transport options if you want to head elsewhere.
