This is a lot more entertaining than most Thursday games I admit...but from a bears viewpoint is tough to watch, not so much because of forte or Marshall, but Jordan mills. We got rid of him at RT for a very dodgy looking Robert Massie.

    They're using forte wrong.

My god, what kind of call was that? QB draw into the teeth of the Defense - must've been a busted play....surely.

    I withdraw my comment...

Looks like a Rob Ryan defence now. Jets with 28 first downs and nearly 40 minutes possesion with 5 minutes left.

Never back down, never surrender! You should've doubled down and given a breakdown of why Forte could've been used to even greater effect!

Well, what I meant at the time was they weren't using him as a 3-down back, which is what he is, and at half time he was only 2.6 ypc. I would also say they should be using him more in the passing game but their receivers are pretty damn good so there's no need. But they found a way to make him effective running inside.

This drive is Kansas City-esque. Very poor clock management. Looks like they have given up.

Yeah, he was so dangerous as a receiver and on screens for the Bears. Love watching Forte play. Bears had to let him go though, think the Jets will get a couple of good years from him.

Ah we get an onside kick. Bowles must be hoping the decision to not go for two doesn't come back to haunt him. Regardless of whether Buffalo recover and score, it's indicitive of bad decision-making on his (or his coaches) part.

It was probably the best move for both him and the Bears, we were looking to the future (although we haven't come close to replacing him from what I can see, especially, as you say, his role as a receiver, which Langford is absolutely useless at) and he needed to go somewhere that he would be paid given his age. But I have a feeling we'll be watching him tear it up for a few years and being nostalgic...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,052 ✭✭✭poldebruin

Well that does it. If they had left just a little more time on the clock they would've forced the Jets to make a first down. They might have even had the option to kick deep, but no, they meandered down the field. The way the Jets have moved the ball all game though, I don't doubt they could've run the clock out regardless.

Good win for the Jets, and an entertaining game. I tthought we were in for a 16-10 slugfest, so enjoyed the fireworks tonight.

Yeah I was expecting a defensive, boring game, but it was great. Nobody should be looking forward to playing the jets this year.

That was a great game but it doesn't help that Nantz and Simms are painful to listen to.

Watched it on gamepass this morning, excellent game. Was very impressed with fitzpatrick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,638 ✭✭✭phatkev

fell asleep just before half time, but managed to wake up early enough to watch the condensed version without see any scores. watching the Bills score 17 unanswered is not the greatest way to wake up!! They done well to grind out the win, but they'll really have to up their game/stop making stupid mistakes if they want to continue winning games. Fitz surprised me, usually his underneath/intermediate passes are what he does best and struggles with long balls but last night was the complete opposite, throwing bombs all over the place!

If he continues scoring 3 td's a game I'll be more than happy for him to be used that way

I see mike pouncey is out for Miami and 8 others are questionable for Sunday against the pats.

I'd say Bill is having the lols tonight.

He must say this 5 times a game.

Deandre Levy officially inactive, Delanie Walker to have a massive game. Hopefully we still have enough to win.

It looks like a rotten day in Pittsburgh. Perfect football weather though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,384 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Eagles not playing til Monday night so I'm redzoning today unless I see a game that interests me.

Great to see that it only took 1 week for the Ravens pathetic secondary to return to form.

Yeah, that was a real let off thanks. Hyder could be our find of the season. Big question now is how does our interior handle Casey.

If I heard nothing about the NFL for the last six months and the game was muted I'd be talking about how awesome Tom Brady is today. Jimmy G is looking like TB on his best day.

Beatdown could be on the cards for the Dolphins here. Running game looking good so far. Happy to see Bennet getting more looks offensively.

    Great freestyle from Stafford!

49ers defense actually looking decent, particularly against the run. Offense anemic though.

Garoppolo is performing surgery in Gillette. Tearing the Dolphins apart.

We have three linebackers. Only 5 in the 53 was a mistake.

Giants D really impressive, but damn those fumbles are going to cost us. You don't keep Drew Brees this quiet all game long

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,328 ✭✭✭the baby bull elephant

I really love Matt Stafford. Might have been stupid but he just ran over a DB. :D

  • Site Banned Posts: 12,341 ✭✭✭✭Faugheen

Feckin' hell Stafford. Beast of a hit but don't do that again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,328 ✭✭✭the baby bull elephant

Pin them inside the 10 with the punt. Good.

Allowing Murray to bust off 67 yeards. Not so good.

EDIT: Taylor is really showing Conklin a thing or two. Helps when Ngata can eat up so much space inside.
