Any word on the names on tickets, they will hardly try and enforce that?
Unless they want to check 15000 ID cards, they cannot enforce that, so no worries.

    Campervan question....

We're hiring one for the first time this year, bit clueless about the whole thing. Are there any facilities for water, waste etc?

I'm assuming not, if so does anyone know anywhere on the way back to Dublin where you can empty the waste tank? Have to drop it back cleaned out

No, no facilities like that. You've to be self sufficient.

Afraid I don't know about the waste tank.

When you say waste, you mean the chemical toilet drop? ... At B&S, everyone uses the portaloos that are in the campervan field. If you mean the waste water tank, then you have to be a little more innovative. I know some people just leave the outlet open for the weekend. Some others open it before leaving (this can be quite smelly). Others find a drain on the side of the road...

As for fresh water, there is always water somewhere, but you need to think about how you get it from the tap to your van and then how you get it in the tank (this 2nd part can be tricky if you are not prepared). Best to ensure that your water is topped up fully before arrival and only use it for washing. Bring some large bottles form Lidl for drinking/making coffee etc... I never ran out of water over a 3 day festival.

If you don't know much about campervans, find a neighbour with experience when you park up Friday. If you run into any issues, campervanners are generally a very helpful bunch.

    Cheers guys
PabloAndRoy - do you mean everyone just goes to the portaloos or people empty their vans toilet waste into them afterwards? I like the idea of not going out in the night but am I just being lazy?
Got a load of drinking water in ready so don't expect to use much of the vans supply, just a little wash like you say. Just wasn't sure what the process was for getting rid of it afterwards - tried calling the place we're hiring from but the guy was a tool.

Yes, people empty their van's toilet waste into them every morning. Don't be going out in the night. Its cold out there and you have a toilet on board.

With regard to the waste, if you pull into a motorway parking spot, there are usually drains on the side. Depending on which side your outlet is, you can probably use that spot.

Oh by the way running the fridge on gas is an absolute winner. Keep your food drinks cold for the weekend and is very economical. So, make sure they show you how it works .. and if they don't, find someone like me to help you out. As i said campervanners are 99% helpful.
