Any word on names on tickets, they will hardly try and enforce that?

Reckless in Love seems to be in the same spot as last year, interesting to see the setup after last years disappointment. Not seeing Port Royal on there also.

Showers in Us&You is a big plus.

Port Royal wasn't on last years map either.

Does anyone know if there is a phone-recharge tent this year, or generally?

Look into picking up a battery pack for festivals. Super handy. Charge at night, no leaving your phone in a truck/stall all day charging. No queues.

Does anyone know if there is a phone-recharge tent this year, or generally?

I'm assuming yes as its sponsored by Vodafone.

Yep there's always some recharging option. For the last couple it's been a Vodafone sponsored thing in the Midnight Circus area.

They are still involved (sponsoring Comedy tent for example), so pretty much a definite that they'll be offering recharging again this year.

There's usually someone doing it in the campsite area as well.

Vodafone are still a lead sponsor, so there definitely will be.

Has anyone been able to procure bags of ice down on the festival site the last few years?

At other festivals, I find it a god send to keep the cooler going into the Sunday.

"Ancillary entertainment only from 2am." Sounds intriguing...

It means that the volume gets turned down.

Oh. Impressively elaborate description, but still a let-down. Thanks.

Lads, was anyone emailed their family car park permit yet? Just read that I have to print it and display but don't think I've received it?

From the map there the walk from family parking to family campsite doesn't look too bad, does it? It's the one part I'm dreading considering the amount of extra **** we have to bring for the kids...

Could be a lot worse I suppose. Just a bit sickening compared to what we've been having, although would probably bake in a tent!

Anyone bothering with name change on tickets? They will hardly enforce it?

This was in the reminder email that came earlier
Purchased a ticket from someone else?
Please make sure that it is your name is on your ticket. If you have purchased a ticket from someone else they will need to sign into their Ticketbooth account and change the name for a €10 fee. If you have any issues with this contact support@ticketbooth.eu.

They threatened that for Radiohead last night too and never enforced it, same for Paramore last week, not enforced

  • Registered Users Posts: 723 ✭✭✭PhilipsR

    Seriously doubt it'll be enforced.

Man no one here will be able to tell you if they'll enforce it or not. Body and Soul are using a different ticket outlet this year than before using e-tickets so that's an unknown thrown into the mix. I sincerely doubt they will though as I've never heard of this being enforced at any Irish festivals ever.

Also they were enforcing it at Radiohead yesterday for a while (albeit not overly stringently) before the rush came in and then they gave it up.

    Hi all,

This might seem like a silly question but are barbecues allowed (disposables)? I can't find anything about it on the FAQ. Anyone know?

    Thanks!

  • Registered Users Posts: 471 ✭✭magicmoves

    What you should NOT bring:
Offensive weapons or anything considered potentially harmful. Drones and professional recording equipment, glass of any kind, generators, gas canisters and fires, gazebos, petrol, flares, fireworks, spray cans, megaphones, air horns, unofficial high-viz or reflective jackets, pets.

I would imagine barbecues would be banned to.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,988 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

The info email sent round earlier said "BBQs are permitted in designated areas only"

Second question, anyone bringing wellies or are you all being optimistic about the weather and leaving them at home/haven't invested in them?

    Cheers!
