does anybody know is it OK to have a main driver on car insurance who isn't the registered owner?
I own a car but I'm not the main driver so I have insuranced someone else as the main driver because they will be driving it more often while I'm away at a college

I can't seem to find any information on it at a all,

    any help will be appreciated

Once the insurer is aware that one of the named drivers is the main driver rather than yourself then there isn't an issue. If its a young driver then they will likely charge the correct rate anyway.

I presume you mean your ma!
Your insurance company will be able to answer this for you but generally this is not allowed unless they are informed in advance

If you declare same to the insurer they'll take risk into consideration. Can be known as fronting

How many vehicles have u insured in your name.?
If 2, then she'll be charged full cost to be driver under your name based on her driving experience
