    Hey guys, just asking this for my brother.

    He wants to become a personal trainer, hes taking some serious interest in it over the last year and is looking for a good course in Dublin.

    He knows quite abit but is looking for a fresh start. Also he asked should he do a nutrition course also?
    He's working full time so it would have to be an evening course.
    He found quite a few online but said they all have different certificates does it matter which one he gets?

    He be looking to start in a gym then hopefully set up his own gym one day.

    Where's he live?

    There's good places north and soutside - no point saying the soutside one if he lives next door t othe north :)

    Really, all the courses will do is give you a starting point to learn from anyway.

    But places to look at which I have first hand experience with and recommend;

    The Fitness Institute
    FitCert
    Elite Fitness and Performance Academy

    Well he lives on the south works in the north side ha so I don't think he would mind anything. Il mention them 3 places to him. Which one would you prefer for a beginner?

    Speak to all 3 and see which he gets the best vibe off!

    pick one, get it done soon as you can but beyond that its the wild west out there as the market is flooded with under experienced and over confident trainers

    What has been said above, its like any degree except your average PT course takes very little time and is far less extensive then once your done you have basic knowledge but no work experience. Thats where the real learning starts and most good trainers are constantly doing new certs and continuing their learning.

    The PT course is the easy part. Its getting the experience thats is the hard BUT most vital part.
