    Howdy

I appear to have a problem with a cable inside a wall so I am looking at running an entire new cable and wonder what type and where is the best place to get it. On UPC at the moment and Horizon box is rebooting on HD channels. If i run a cable direct from front room to back it doesn't reboot but a cable thru the hall is not approved by SWMBO

It will need to be white and I'm seeing CT100, WT100, 120db etc mentioned. Looking to get a 100m roll around west / north Dublin if possible. I will run it up into the attic and connect direct to the distribution box. Want to get the best cable I can as I may bin the Horizon connection and go free to air satellite down the road so could use teh cable for that also.

Thanks and any other advice welcome

You will see a list of CAI benchmarked CT 100 spec co-ax cable here, which is recommended for use by installers

I'll leave this here, because of the mention of UPC and Horizon, but I should note that we never intended this forum to discuss television cables, more Cable Television (as in TV delivered by what used to be called "pipe"). There may be other forums where the OP might get better answers to his query

@icdg - cheers, wasn't sure where to post in case some cables may have been better suited to certain applications. Some sites are saying little or no diff and others saying that it makes a massive one. Personally I reckon the cable should be as good as possible so hopefully someone can suggest one and where to buy.
