    Hello, people, been a while
    Done this today.

    2012 BMW 640d with 2017 BMW NBT EVO ID 6 from the new G30 (New 5 series), which is not even available to the public yet!
    Android phone mirroring, Apple Carplay etc.

    Is that the same as the system in the new 7 series? I rented one of these in Spain for a few weeks recently.

    It is the new system like I said, EVO ID6. Not available to the public yet.
    What you had in this 7 series is EVO ID5
    Both are use on the same base system, but ID6 has a slightly different interface while many functions are the same. Main menu uses much bigger icons as you can see on my pics

    If I wanted to split the install..say do the combox first for the app streaming and then do the nbt upgrade..is that possible?
    car is a 2010 f10.

    Hello, there is nothing to split. The NBT iDrive have Combox integrated into the headunit since 2012.

    A word to the wise - I just picked up a new 330e. CarPlay enabling is apparently blocked due to performance issues. They'd better get that sorted...
