Why are you so much more expensive on bonkers.ie and switcher.ie for a new customer who wants Dual Fuel supply then all the other providers?

    Hi RosieJoe,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Since May this year, Electric Ireland savings percentages for electricity plus gas are a maximum of 8.5% off the units of each fuel (direct debit and Online Billing required). Unlike prior to May though, savings will not expire the following year; savings will remain on the account indefinitely, the customer does not have to contact us again to renew.

Customers who switch to Electric Ireland for electricity or electricity plus gas at the moment can also avail of a €150 credit bonus applied to their electricity account (agreement to a contract is required for this, but as above, the savings remain on the account indefinitely after a year). Here are further details on our website.

From 1st of October also, the Electric Ireland gas unit price will reduce by 5%.

If you have any further queries we can assist with, do let us know.

    Una

Probably because they are more expensive than other providers. Also other companies have announced a price drop on Oct 1st EI aren't the only ones
