    Hi,

    I am looking of some guidance with regards the ECDL course

    I never did this in secondary school as I didnt do transition year and now it was mentioned during one of my lectures (I am 2nd year BComm) that you must complete and pass the ECDL


    Can someone confirm if this is true or not? and if true why was this not clearly highlighted in first year and also in secondary school especially for students who did not do transition year

    Email your work placement manager and confirm if you have to do it.

    Also check if you need the ECDl essentials cert or the full cert.

    The essentials only includes the first four exams while the full is 7 exams in total.

    I'd recommend getting it done the christmas before you go on placement as the shorter semester can get quiet hectic.
