    The name of the Tolka river means 'the flood', that should tell you lots.

    Historically, there have been a number of major floods, hence much remedial works.
    There's a technical report here:

    Very low risk;

    Any of the roads between griffith avenue and homefarm road (all downhill)

    Ferguson Road & Walsh Road

    Anything beween permanent TSB & the train station

    Very High Risk (traditionally) - been better over the last number of years;

    Botanic Avenue and its surroudings

    Basically you wanna avoid anything that's not a downhill beside the tolka

    You can also go to myplan.ie (http://www.myplan.ie/viewer/).

    Select layers at the top of the page, turn off "generalized zone types" and switch on "OPW flood mapping" and locate Drumcondra. Just be aware, it only lets you zoom in a certain amount for the flood mapping.
