Works on the cascades in Ennistymon

Hi,

We are getting married in the falls in 2 weeks and took a trip up there today... We were shocked to see the state of the place and the works that have been taken on the cascades. Does anyone know when this is finished. We are seriouly thinking of cancelling the hotel byut we may struggle to find anothe venue at such short notice

It's a big project, hydro power plant for the falls.

Hi OP
Give your photographer a call and they will arrange other photo ops for the day. Some lovely areas out at the back of the hotel and on the way in. I know lots of people who had the falls as a backdrop in their wedding photos and to be honest the background took over the photos IMO. It should be all about the couple!

Was the wedding reception or ceremony supposed to be on inside in the river or what?

I believe the falls were just assumed to be available for the photos after the wedding.
