    Hi all,
Flying to NY in November hoping to attend the UFC in Madison Square Garden. Just a few days is all, booked a flight ages ago was cheap enough. Ive been to NY before but I was accompanied by someone with accomadation, lift to airport, knew the area etc but this time im travelling alone.
Has anyone travelled about NY by themselves, or travelled outside of the State to visit somewhere else for a while and back to NY, by train or bus, rent a car? Any recommendations for hotel in NY, places to visit, or chillout?
    Thanks

For just a few days? No point going out of the city. Unless you've done everything in NYC!
Accommodation is very expensive. Best use hotel.com or hostelworld for best price.
In the city, get an app for the subway, will get you everywhere you want to go.
Places to chill out? All the parks, anywhere near the river.
If you are looking for things to do go back through this topic, NYC is in it lots.
