Is that the Tesco value range of T ketchup, or the Tesco one? What store was that in? Thanks a lot

TBH I'm cheapskate enough that at that price I'd get less fussy :D

Yeah same. I was gonna say. I picked up 5 last week for €1.75 each.

None of the lavazza instant coffee (1.75 one) in balbriggan BUT the shelf label with the 1.75 pricel was still there so they mite get it back.

The 1kg beans are scanning at full price.

If you like the magnum honeycomb icecreams (I don't) they're back in stock at reduced price, think shelf label said 74c for box. Full shelf of them at 10.30am Sunday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,737 ✭✭✭Hococop

In coonagh, that instant coffee was marked at 5.00 didn't check to see if it was reduced, checked the 1kg bag off coffee beans and was full price

I did pick up Purina gourmet gold senior pate cat food, they are a 12 pk tin for 1.97 meant to be on offer at 5 its on a side display near the non working price checker, I took 3 there was around 12-13 left

You're right but if you just want them for handing out at Halloween, you get more per bag in the mini bags...... but as I say, you are right, snack bars are better value per kg

Guys from Cork, I was in Tesco Patrick Street this morning and the Lavazza Beans are still 4.00 down from 15.99 and there were lots of packs left, at least ten. Seems to be full price in most other shops. Other bargains too, I finally managed to attach the picture (I think).

    Which flavour?

Must be local. Castlebar had the Salt and Balsamic Vinegar for 67c while Ballinrobe had the Lightly Salted 67c. Not reduced in Claremorris.

Both of the Lavazzo coffees were €3.49 in the Maple ctr today, no surprise there, they seldom have bargains.....

Why is it different stores have different prices, I know some is down to dates but why are some reduced in one store and not in the other? I thought they would all work off the one system

The Felix is still randomly getting put on the shelves in Roscommon at €1.37 & €1.32, I did not clear the shelves this time. Don't think anyone has found similar prices in other Tesco's. I have attached the price on the shelf, in case there are any doubters out there.

Haribo Mega mix (25 piece) 1 euro Tesco Ardkeen.

Spotted a few bargains (ish) in Tesco portlaoise

    Self inflating mat €2.53
Barcraft cocktail shaker in a box €4.50, reduced from about €20. It would do as a christmas present.
Some reductions in party plates and napkins, 35c/37c etc
Tesco basic black shower curtain €1.50
Fans about halfprice, 9 inch desk fan €5.99, 16 inch pedestal fan €8.56
Kids footballs marked 75c but theyd only giant tennis balls in the basket which were a tenner.
Lots of something called a creative tops lilac jam jar was €5 now 93c. I'm sure it's a bargain but Ive no idea what you do with it, looks a pain in the arse to drink out of
    618-0042_PI_TPS2374736?wid=493&ht=538

Some stuff looked decent value but wasn't marked as special offer so could be in all stores - toilet brush 70c, tesco bourbon creams 296g for 29c, tesco basic wine glass 84c

No games or dvds left but I did spot a JFK Conspiracies box set in among the crisps :D

I miss having one big tesco thread. I know i'll miss out on bargains when there's multiple threads on the go for the same place :-(

I can't post on the 'comment on the megathreads' thread or indeed the last big tesco thread cos theyve been locked but anyone else feel like this?
+1, I had to search to find this thread as it has fallen out of favour. You are not only missing out on bargains due to the 2 threads but since people will possibly not bother to post in both. e.g. you might have found a good hardware bargain and noticed a reasonable grocery bargain too. You might only post the hardware one and not bother with the one you think is just reasonable, but others might buy a lot of that item and so miss out.

Your post above was probably meant for the hardware thread, but you also did throw in mention of the bourbon biscuits, exactly the type of thing I am talking about. The bourbons taste grand BTW

Anyways back on topic. Tesco fancyish ice creams seem cheaper than I remember and are not advertised as being on offer (which seems to be common enough, so keep an eye out)

Tesco Caramel Vanilla Ice Cream 900Ml 1.75
    http://www.tesco.ie/groceries/Product/Details/?id=284090054
that is their knock off version of carte d'or and is pretty good IMO. 1.90 per litre

tesco bog standard vanilla ice cream costs a bit more per litre
    http://www.tesco.ie/groceries/Product/Details/?id=271425774
their real cheap n nasty stuff is less, but it really is nasty

Some carte d'or also happen to be on offer, same size 900ml reduced from to 5.35 to 4 euro. The tesco one is defintely worth trying though.
    http://www.tesco.ie/groceries/product/search/default.aspx?searchBox=carte

several ben & jerry are half price too, still pricey though! 500ml for 3.25 and speaking of bourbon biscuits, they go great crushed up and added to ice cream.
