    BRISSETT! What a run! :D

So unusual seeing such a mobile QB playing for us :o

Too early too call and I have been drinking but trade Jimmy we have our future right there. Bill and Josh letting a QB keep it... Sign me up to that newsletter.

    Pats ball definitely.

Why do the refs blow it up so early? Worst case scenario let it go and let the turnover review sort it out

I only thing i can think of is that they're afraid of big collisions/injuries once a players down

True but for 99% of plays there is no question the player is down, but that was called so quickly.

His 40 time is only 4.94, so he's deceptively fast (usually a term reserved for white players)

Patriots D is on fire tonight. Must be that Texans jersey!

Great start for our QB, but it will soon be time for the Pats secondary to click into gear and start handing the game back to the Texans.

I guess we can thank John Elway for that one :)

Keep it simple Jacoby, don't get too excited

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,370 ✭✭✭✭Son Of A Vidic

It will never look right seeing big Vince sitting on the wrong side of the field.

Imagine Hopkins had a good QB

It would be insane. He would definitely be pushing the season WR receiving record.

I thought he was tryin to offload from the deck there :pac:

    Clever challenge from O'Brien there.

Edit: Nice of him to wait until after the commercials though

I know I'm late to this but can someone explain how the turn over on the kick-off ended up a pats ball?

Yes it was fumbled but there was a whistle before it was recovered

I mean it was clear as day. Even on the muffled replay you can hear it

I wonder would they trade him for QB. They could certainly do with an improvement at QB.

End around to Bennett! McDaniels really cooking up all sorts tonight. I love it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,638 ✭✭✭phatkev

    That is really bad defense

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,370 ✭✭✭✭Son Of A Vidic

Blount wasting his time trying to punch through the middle with Vince in his way. Even double teaming him didn't help. After all the years he was a Pat, you'd think we know not to do it against him.

    Miller having a great game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,026 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

That last Miller run had two clear holds by the Texans OL and neither got called.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,672 ✭✭✭ScummyMan

Jesus if the Texans keep this up they'll kill Miller.

Is it his studs making him go down 2 or 3 yards before contact or is he afraid of the hit (in so much someone mad enough to play rb in nfl can fear contact).

Big stop, I'll be delighted if we close out the half 10-0

Hell of a stat there about the Texans not playing a snap in the Pats half all day so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,638 ✭✭✭phatkev

its a bad sign when the Patriots have more confidence in their rookie QB than the Texans do in their $72 million man

Just run the clock down here

The Texans are are team full of pretenders. They might win the AFC South by default but I hope they don't. Osweiler is awful to watch. BO'B and Rick Smith will be out of jobs in the next 2 years due to that chancer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,026 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Ah come on Bill, minute on the clock and three timeouts and we take a knee?

I wouldn't judge them on their first half. They were down to the Bears in the first half! Texans are a second half team.

I'm with ya on that. They should have at least had a crack at getting into FG range. I get them playing it safe with a rookie, but being ultra safe can come back to bite you.

They didn't get by Midfield, they should be rightly judged. Osweiler was ok against the Bears and terrible against the Chiefs. He might throw a few highlight reel balls to Nuk & Will Fuller but other than that it's smelly check downs.

Houston are some pile of rubbish. Weakest division of the lot. Jacksonville were a disgrace last week in San Diego. Time for bed.

Kinda unfair to put Bennett on a corner in the end zone like that...now imagine a fully fit Gronk on another midget corner on the other side?

    And Brady making the passes.

It's going to be heaven when Brady's back and has a fully fit Gronk and Bennett lining up for him. Bennett is an absolute monster.

I know Cyrus Jones was an amazing punt returner in college, but he really needs to be taken off them until he can keep hold of the football. Must be nerves or something but just asking for trouble.
