So I've lost the key to my ford cmax 04.
Luckily I found the spare key( one with no buttons on it).
Anyone know if that turn the key in the ignition a few times trick work if I got a replacement from eBay and tried it using the key I have now?
Or anywhere I can get the key except from a dealer?

There is a difference between coding the key for central locking and coding the key to the immobiliser. Where you based? There are a couple of key places that can cut & code a key for you.

Well I was hoping to get a key like the original one I lost. Basically the key you get with it when brand new.
I'm based in westmeath so anywhere in westmeath or Meath would be best.
    Thanks

I've used a guy in Blanchardstown who advertises over on Adverts.

I've used him a few times and he is excellent and a nice fella to deal with. He's able to do nearly every car and keeps a good stock of keys.
