F2000 Modem Died After 21 Days

I've been an Eir customer for less then one month and I'm already regretting the decision to sign up with them.

First of all it took two weeks for the multiroom box to be delivered, so we had only one active TV for a fortnight even though we were paying for two.

That wasn't a massive issue, more of an annoyance, my main issue is that my F2000 modem died last night after a whooping 21 days of service. I was in contact with the technical team and the new box will apparently be delivered in one working day so I'll be without Internet, television and phone until then.

I knew it would be a gamble moveing to Eir, but I'm seriously regretting leaving Virgin Media right now.

    Hi Phat Cat,

Thank you for getting in touch :)

I am extremely sorry to hear of your customer journey with eir so far :( I can assure you this is not the level of service we aim to provide and I will be sure to relay this feedback onto the relevant department.

As soon as the service has been restored I would recommend you contact our customer care team directly on 1901 and see what the guys can do withy our bill.

    Kind Regards,
    Ciara

    Why did you leave VM?

I was with UPC for 7 happy years until Virgin Media took over and raised their prices and throttled their broadband, I was only getting around 80Mb of the advertised 360Mb with VM, I had double that speed with UPC and it was cheaper! The last straw was VM dropping BT, ESPN & Setanta (eirSport), but dealing with Eir has been an absolute nightmare so far. At least VM have excellent customer support and are a somewhat consistent provider that aren't renowned for any major loss of service or disruptions in my experience.

What's the point in this thread? Your modem went tits up, they sent you one being delivered the next day. What's the problem?
