Forster Street and Eglinton Street closed between 10am and 4pm today (22/09/16). Plan routes accordingly.

Except for buses, taxis and bicycles.

Are pedestrians being discriminated against again?

I'm going out to inspect myself shortly, but reports from a pedestrian on the ground say that Eglington St, anyway, is no different to normal.

"Dunta" appears to have been totally redefined.

There is no fada on the U. Shocking.

Had a wander earlier. Loads of private vehicles about, very little if any enforcement.

Just curious if it's a fixed message or is it flashing between 'dunta' and 'closed'?

So token effort being conducted in a token manner?

Two fixed messages. alternating, as below. The word "closed" was not used. So I think that "dunta" must mean something else - maybe half-closed :-)

I love also that they shortened the street name by dropping the O so it would fit on the sign. They could have achieved the same thing by not adding the extra G :D

    Did it work?
Was there reduced car traffic in the City Center?
Or were the road closures ignored?
Does it make a difference as it was done outside of rush hour?

Signs? Sure what good are they to the average dullard.

I wonder if they could pay the paramotoring guy to fly around with a banner announcing these things in future?

    Damnable reflexive pronouns.
