Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just watched that programme again and brought back memories of seeing it the first time. Great insight into the mind of the British rep alright.
Would love to see what they are driving now and what their subsequent car history was.
Love the guy who pulls over if the cavalier has headlight washers as it's higher spec than his!
Do Irish reps care to the same extent what they drive and do they get much say anyway?
Has bik tax killed the company car here?
I rarely hear of people getting a car with a job nowadays.

All the sales reps in my company have to find their own way to clients... no company cars for them boys I'm afraid.

BIK is ok if you are doing big mileage as you get a reduction on a scale up to 30K miles PA IIRC (used to be anyhow)

Depending on your car allowance south of 15K miles PA pushes you toward taking the allowance instead.

Companies prefer you to take an allowance as it is a fixed cost..... i.e. it doesn't make a jot of difference if you stick your own car in a hedge on a frosty morning:eek:

I know on one guy who reps wafering systems in electronics, last car he had was a Bentley turbo (a couple of years back).

He was also the MD of the company and owned several patents that were apparently very good.
