2007 Passat FSI - Passenger Door Outer Door Handle Issue

    Hey All,

    As above there is something up with the front passenger outer door handle. It's strange the handle will open out but will not open the door as such. Door can be opened from the inside. The inside door lock switch on drivers side was faulty and replaced within the last year. Any ideas what might be the issue?

    Also will this sort of issue fail an NCT?

    You are probably looking at new door lock mechanism.

    Try banging your fist quite hard on the metal around the outer door handle and it may free the mechanism out. I had this problem on a Passat last year and it sorted it.
