At what age is it appropriate to give an e-reader to a child. I have an 11 year old nephew and a 4 year old Kindle paperwork I was thinking about giving him. Any advice or precautions I should take?

Got my son one when he was 9. Best investment ever! We still go to the library once a fortnight for "real books" or graphic novels and the like. He gets so much use from his kindle. No precautions really. He has to ask one of us for a book as the amazon account is linked to my debit card.

Is it possible to put credit on a Kindle for kid?

I gave my 8 year old a kindle paperwhite earlier this year. He loves it and has read loads of books on it already. It doesn't really do anything other than let him read so no issues with too much screen time etc etc. I would have no issue giving one.
