If I may highjack a little bit - I noticed a few weeks ago that the Ruger SR22 is available with a 4.5" barrel.

With a 5 shot mag, it should be legal here.

Don't know anything about the pistol, was waiting for an opportunity to mention the SR22 without starting a thread - apologies OP.

For me I like the mkiii and don't find it a plan to strip for cleaning, Is the mkiv worth the extra money to strip more easily? Might be hand for jams and quick fixes on competition days.Don't know about the plastic takedown button. I am sure volquartsen will supply an aftermarket trigger. But for me I like my mkiii.

I am awaiting now delivery from Germany of a Mk 2 bull barrel Ruger pistol.
This will be the first modification I'm putting in this gun.

It CAN'T be any worse to take apart and put back together the trigger group of a Savage 22 mag/20 Ga combo gun:eek:
Took me four hours and an extra hand to put that one back together...Once!:p
