Strong magnet for contact?

I have replaced some windows and my existing HKC shocks/contacts do not work correctly. The issue is that the window frame is now too-far from the opening for the magnet on the window to register on the sensor. Has anyone encountered this problem before and recommend a solution? Thanks.

If they are aligned correctly they should be fine. Any chance you could post up a picture of one of them?
