Been a title switch at MSG this evening. Not going to put a spoiler warning on it cause it was a house show match and I'd imagine hey are are about to plaster this all over the place.

AJ Styles is the new United States champion after beating Kevin Owens.

Flabbergasted they have decided to do this offscreen, and wonder if Owens has hurt himself....

The last time a title changed hands at Madison Square Garden, was Survivor Series 2011, when CM Punk won the WWE Championship from Alberto Del Rio to start his historic 434 day title reign.

It sickens me that they don't even do TV tapings there anymore, let alone PPVs. I've read before what the reasons were for it, but I can't think of them. Either way, it's a shame. Any show at MSG is automatically more important because of the history and prestige of that arena.

I think it becomes very expensive to film anything there due to union rates for TV.

It's something to do with the guy who owns the stadium and the fact he's involved in Tv, so charges a fortune to anyone other than his own teams to broadcast. The cost verses the capacity doesn't add up for WWE so they stick to supercard house shows.

Shame they don't do more live house shows. New Japan show loads of live stuff and they haven't close to the money WWE has. It would make the Network worth having.

Smackdown is really sinking in terms of my interest. Mahal & Orton may be the most boring, drawn out feud in the company which takes some going.
Maria & Mike they clearly have no idea what they are doing with them as Zayn essentially pointed out as much to Bennett. Women are having another multi woman match because? Why not. A house show main event & the only 2 matches that were promising on paper were over before they began.
I enjoyed the Breezango segment but the show ain't much better than Raw. Talking Smack with Shane too is like the episode of the Simpsons where Homer is going to the baseball game & Burns sits down beside him to watch it ruining any potential fun he may have. Renee is the host yet Shane introduces the show & talks over her? ok....
