Hi,
We are currently a Bord Gais customer, and we are on a pre-pay meter.
Are we eligible to switch to electric ireland for our Gas supply?
Thank you.

Hi there,

Thanks for your message.

If you would like to switch your gas supply to Electric Ireland you can do so by calling 1850 372 372.

You will require a meter reading taken from the day you contact Electric Ireland, as well as the GPRN (gas point reference number) of your gas meter.

Once the switch process has started it will take a number of working days for the switch to complete. A switch will only be prevented should there be a large outstanding balance owed to the current provider.

If you currently have a gas Pay As You Go meter in your property, and you complete a switch to Electric Ireland, we must advise you that you may need to get a new Pay As You Go card from your local Payzone outlet.

We hope this helps. If you have any other questions please let us know.

Thanks,
Brige
