Ballymote Night Mile and 5k Team Challenge

    Tomorrow night in Ballymote, Sligo - fast 5k on the streets of Ballymote.

    Starting at 8pm, it's a night mile with free head torches for first 160 entrants and high vis jackets. It finishes up and is followed by an elite men's mile featuring John Travers, Alberto Sanchez and Richard Weir.

    Loads for the kids too, Secondary school kids being given an opportunity to run with the elites.

    Registration on the night in Loftus Hall from 6.30pm. See the FB page for all the details.

    Its a pity that this is on the same weekend as one of the longest established races in County Sligo the Grange 10k which is always on the first weekend in October. I suspect that there will be poor crowds at both.
